Peer Precious - Bless This Mess (2011)

Hailing from Duluth, Peer Precious are a band of basement show veterans delivering stories of hitchhiking, cats, being on the road and cats through the time honored tradition of song. By the way, when I say cats that second time there what I really mean to say is true love(?). Whatever. As for being on the road, Peer Precious will be touring most of the country this fall carrying with them freshly pressed copies of their debut LP, Bless This Mess, being jointly released by Dirt Cult Records and Anti-Civ Records. I'm nearly shittin' my britches waiting for this one to come out! Be sure to find out when they're playing near you so you can one day testify to the judge of judges your worth.

Listen to Intergalactic Champ from the new record, Bless This Mess.

Fight Cunning

It's time to wake this blog from hibernation. When I wake up I prefer something loud and heavy (that and a few cups a coffee). That's where these guys come in.

The most important thing to know about Fight Cunning is that these boys can shred! Serious riffs and heartfelt, often politically motivated lyrics are all over this six song EP which will be released sometime in the future (duh). For now keep yourself informed on all things Cunning HERE.

Until then, feast your ears on 6/8 below while you await the full release.

I've Been To Duluth

Remember the guy wearing a shirt that says ''I've been to Duluth" in this movie?... nothing? You don't recall the artful character portrayals of Robert Prosky? Well I do and, more importantly, I have been and will again to record some ripping bands from the North Shore. Hard Feelings and Peer Precious are at work cutting a wide swath through your conservative narrow bandwidth listening agenda as we speak. More to come...

Shot Memory - Nostalgic (2010)

Shot Memory has got me nostalgic as all hell with their new ep... Nostalgic. Go figure. Young and talented, these guys will be seen and heard around MPLS for years to come. Good stuff, but don't take my word for it. Treat your ear-holes to I Miss Then from their first release in the player below.

Get the full track listing as well as a digital copy available in various file formats from their Bandcamp site and of course befriend Shot Memory in all ways meaningful as per current standards: FACE... SPACE...

Les Gavels - Condition (2010)

Les Gavels: fast, intelligent punk rock fronted by a frenchman from the Twin Cities. Xenophobes be not afraid, he sings in english. Former members of Gena and Sofakingdom. Take a listen to Expanding Identity from their album Condition below. Word is born.

You can pick up a digital copy of Condition HERE.
